ND Spring wheat grower replaces 96 lb/ac of dry with 6 oz/ac of nanoliquid saving time and money, producing similar results

Just when we thought the economy couldn’t get any worse, growers around the country are forced to become more creative with their operations as crop input prices have soared and supply chain issues are still a problem. How can we grow a healthy crop with rising prices, threats of droughts, and tightening environmental regulations?

Aqua-Yield® has the solution.

What if you were told that we have a new technology that could reduce your crop inputs without sacrificing yield AND save you money? That this technology promotes soil health and can be used on any crop, with most any liquid application?

As the old saying goes, when something sounds too good to be true, it normally is.  Aqua-Yield® is the exception.
It is a new company founded by growers with a technology that’s disrupting the agriculture marketplace with its affordable low use rates (2-6 oz/ac) nanoliquid technology. Aqua-Yield® also recently won the Next Gen Fertilizer Innovations Challenge sponsored by the EPA and USDA. Nanoliquid technology is a pretty big deal for everyone.

Putting nano to the test

Cody Hatzenbuhler, owner of Pan Ag in Mandan, ND, has been an Aqua-Yield® dealer for a couple years now. As an advocate for the enviornment and soil health, Hatzenbuhler always likes to put products to the test and figure out how to maximize the grower’s dollars.

In one of his latest trials he had a spring wheat grower from Bottineau, North Dakota trial a dry program to a comparable nanoliquid program. Both had applications of 240 lbs/ac of urea. The dry program included 86 lbs of MAP and 10 lbs of potash per acre.  The nanoliquid program consisted of a foliar application of 4 oz/ac of NanoPhos® and 2 oz/ac of NanoK®. To understand the absorption of nutrition between the two programs, they took tissue tests.

The tissue test results

Tissue tests of both plots were taken 7/1 and 7/9. What was found was both applications had very similar levels of macro and micronutrients. The big difference? A cost savings of 26%, by using Aqua-Yield® nanoliquid technology*.

Indirect benefits include reduced fertilizer salt load in the soil, less material to handle, and less waste.

Aqua-Yield® was excited to partner with Beck's again this year and trial some of our nanoliquid® products through their PFR (Practical Farm Research) program. Our 2-year multi-location trials show how our technology helps growers take their inputs to the next level. We strive to become PFR Proven next year!

NanoPro is the Aqua-Yield® flagship carrier adjuvant for crop protection applications. Add NanoPro to any Plant Growth Regulator (PGR) product to increase plant uptake and amplify the end result for crops. PGR products mimic natural plant hormones that either promote or slow plant growth. The chemical structure of PGR products is highly synergistic with Aqua-Yield nanotechnology.
