A farmer from southeast Indiana, Joe and his father had a lot of success with trialing NanoCS™ from Aqua-Yield® on his corn. Joe’s interest in nanoliquid technology turned into accepting a position with Aqua-Yield®. He is excited to share this latest technology with growers across the corn belt.
A BRIEF HISTORY
Located in Draper, Utah, just outside of Salt Lake City, Aqua-Yield® has been manufacturing and selling nanoliquid products for use in agricultural production since 2018. Aqua-Yield® grew its roots on a sod farm owned by its founders when nanoliquid technology was deployed into trials for a two-year period with consistent ROI. As a result, Aqua-Yield® was formed, paving the way for growers worldwide.
Aqua-Yield® nanoliquids have been proving themselves time and again on many specialty crops throughout the west coast and southern states. A diverse product portfolio has been developed to meet the needs and demands of specialty crop production.
THE SKINNY ON NANOLIQUID TECHNOLOGY
Nanoliquids work by enhancing delivery of fertility and crop protection molecules to plants. Nanoparticles protect molecules from environmental losses and improve the absorption into plants by a proven process called endocytosis. Through endocytosis, one nanoparticle can deliver a thousand nutrient ions, whereas in the typical process of diffusion each nutrient ion must individually pass through the cell membrane. This is a much more efficient way for crops to receive inputs.
A NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR CORN BELT GROWERS
No matter the crop or location, growers are yielding the benefits of our nanoliquid products. Our nanoliquids have delivered success across the toughest proving grounds in North America and the world. Aqua-Yield products work well on row crops, and is now excited to expand its sales and support coverage to include growers in the corn belt.
WHY ARE AQUA-YIELD® NANOLIQUIDS UNLIKE ANYTHING ELSE ON THE MARKET?
Typically plants process inputs through various forms of passive transport by diffusion. Passive transport does not require energy to move substances across plant cell membranes, relying on the second law of thermodynamics to drive the movement of substances across cell membranes.
Aqua-Yield® uses a different process called endocytosis to bring the loaded NanoShield® particles into the cell where the “payload” is delivered. Endocytosis is a means of bulk transport in which the cell uses energy (ATP) for substances that cannot be diffused across the plant membrane.
